THE BOARD OF THE ROMA EDUCATION FUND VISITS THE MUNICIPALITY OF SUTO ORIZARI

Today the Mayor of the Municipality of Suto Orizari Mr. Kurto Dudush held a meeting with Mr. Andrej Mirga – Chair of the Board of the Roma Education Fund and with the National coordinator of the Roma Education Fund in R. of North Macedonia Ms. Aysel Amet.

The meeting was also attended by the President of the Municipal Council Ms. Fatima Osmanovska, the Head of the Department for Local Economic Development Mr. Srdjan Amet and the Adviser for education Ms. Ramiza Sakip, who have presented the needs of the community and the important segments which are in the focus of the local self-government.

During in the meeting was discussed the current political situation, the position of Roma, the possibilities to use the international funds to prepare projects and programs in target to address and to resolve the Roma issues, as well as they emphasized the need to negotiation and advocate for Roma in front of European institutions.

In order to improve the quality of education in Suto Orizari, the Roma Education Fund has proposed an initiative for exchange of experiences with foreign teachers, professors and pedagogues.
